To: tier@tier.cs.berkeley.edu Hey TIER -- some interesting data science and software engineering opportunities below: --- Mission Measurement is a social impact measurement and strategy firm that works to predict, measure, and improve the impact of social programs. We’re developing the Impact Genome Project® (IGP) <http://www.missionmeasurement.com/introducing-the-impact-genome-project/>, which aims to be the world’s most comprehensive evidence base of ‘what works’ in social change. We’re hiring researchers, data scientists, and statisticians to create breakthrough research for the social sector. IGP is looking for data scientists and software engineers to join our team. Please see attached as the job descriptions for each opportunity and a brief “real talk” description of who we’re looking for below. If you know anyone in your network who might be excited about one of these opportunities, please pass this along! Contact Laura Kingsbury (lkingsbury@missionmeasurement.com) with any questions. CS-related positions: · *Data Science Team* o *Statistical Analyst:* This person will be a stats guru who has experience running models, preferably Bayesian meta-analyses. We want them to be willing to code articles (roll up their sleeves) but also willing to clean, create, and analyze data sets based on our article coding. This person will have more stats experience than the Technical Research Analyst, but likely less experience than Randy J · *Product Development* o *Sr. Software Engineer: *This person will help us build out and manage our database. So someone with lots of programming experience, who is interested in social impact, who can successfully build systems, who is interested in helping develop products related to the system, and who can work in an entrepreneurial environment. -- *Carson Christiano *| *Director of Partnerships and Innovation* Center for Effective Global Action <http://cega.berkeley.edu/> | 510.642.4361 UC Berkeley | 207 Giannini Hall | Berkeley, CA 94720 e-bulletin <http://visitor.r20.constantcontact.com/manage/optin?v=001qV_LMxK9XFVxXA4XvFFE2pzej3UtiMiiPfOrygRDT9CzWXVzCXuP0D4eOct2IDTMtDMUuEVY64fKK1Pbxm6J5zUdV-UzeIKO_4ZAgmXEZbtksSeNIuHGv5Qr8TU_uPyALVrGntEray6QrEWo7pYVWZLN47ZiJ8bV> | facebook <https://www.facebook.com/CenterforEffectiveGlobalAction> | twitter <https://twitter.com/CEGA_UC> * <http://cega.berkeley.edu/>* _______________________________________________ TIER mailing list Website: http://tier.cs.berkeley.edu TIER@tier.cs.berkeley.edu https://www.millennium.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tier
