May be of interest to some folks on this list! ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Camille Smith <csmith@ashesi.org> Date: Sat, Jul 10, 2021 at 11:25 AM Subject: Teach Remotely at Ashesi University in 2021-2022 Academic Year To: borning@cs.washington.edu <borning@cs.washington.edu> Dear Alan, I’m writing from the Ashesi University Foundation to share the news that Ashesi University is in search of qualified faculty members, postdocs, and professionals to participate in “visiting” remote teaching opportunities during the 2021-2022 academic year. Opportunities are paid, fully remote, and offer the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to Ashesi’s mission of educating a new generation of ethical, entrepreneurial African leaders. Visiting remote faculty are needed across Ashesi’s academic departments (Engineering (ENG), Business Administration (BA), Humanities & Social Sciences (HSS), Computer Science (CS), and Management Information Systems (MIS)). A complete list of courses for which faculty are sought is attached. Visiting faculty in BA and HSS will be paid $3,000 net (Ashesi will cover taxes and transfer costs). Fellowship positions are available for faculty in CS and ENG, and as such these departments can pay as much as $10,000 per course (note that in this case, Ashesi will not pay taxes or transfer costs). Interested candidates can email Provost Prof. Angela Owusu-Ansah at aansah@ashesi.edu.gh by July 21st, 2021 for further information. Please share this opportunity widely with anyone who might be interested. *About Ashesi:* Located in Ghana, Ashesi University <https://www.ashesi.edu.gh/about.html> is recognized as one of the finest universities in Africa, with a proven track record in fostering ethical leadership, critical thinking, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to solve complex problems.
