All- I'm pleased to announce that Microsoft Research India together with the Indian Institute of Science will be hosting a summer school for research on ICTD this June 12-27: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/events/indiasummerschool2010/default.asp... The school is designed for students interested in technologies and socio-economic development from a range of disciplines including technical, social science and design backgrounds. We expect the majority of students will be in graduate programs (Masters & PhD), but we will also accept a few exceptional undergrads and some faculty as well. A few comments on the website & process: 1) The list of confirmed speakers will be updated shortly as we iron out a few details (plus all the members of the TEM<http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/groups/tem/> group at MSRI). 2) The application deadline is coming up fast! We're running a little behind, but if you'd like to attend, please apply soon! 3) If you are coming from within India, we will pick up your travel and lodging. If you're coming from outside India, you'll need to manage travel on your own, but we'll pick up your accommodation. This should be a fantastic two weeks of intensive lectures, conversation and interactive work as we hash out what ICTD Research is. I hope you can join us!
