This Thursday at Change, Monica Caraway and Nell O’Rourke will be leading a discussion about the role of gender in development efforts. They will present a background on gender issues in developing countries and highlight some research indicating that a focus on girls and women in areas like education, micro-finance, and health care can help to increase the effectiveness of development efforts. They will then mention a few ICTD projects that focus on women and lead a discussion around directions for future work.
