Dear all,

I am reaching out to all tech enthusiasts to apply for our challenge to get up to $100K funding using exponential technology to provide food in emergencies.

The World Food Programme (WFP) has recently teamed up with Silicon Valley's Singularity University to identify and support moonshot ideas/start-ups that can help us end hunger globally. Through the 'Global Impact Challenge', we are offering teams funding and accelerator support to scale. Shortlisted finalists will be able to receive up to $100K in funding and be able to test the solution in the field, whilst the final winner team (2 people) will be invited to participate in Singularity's renowned Global Solutions Program.

We are seeking:

Bold new ways to provide access to local and nutritious food for the most vulnerable people in emergencies.
Applicants are being asked to design a solution that can be rapidly deployed when a crisis breaks out.
It should provide a sustainable source of nutritious food as quickly as possible – something that can be rolled out fast and at modest cost.
Shortlisted finalists to our boot camp at the Accelerator in Munich, Germany, and a chance to develop their ideas with the world’s largest humanitarian organization.
The overall winner will be chosen to attend, at no cost, the nine-week long Global Solutions Program (GSP - July 17 - Aug 17, 2017), hosted at SU’s campus at NASA Research Park in Mountain View, CA.

Excited to share the most recent case study from Catholic Relief Services that illustrates how CRS and its partners have been integrating and implementing the Principles for Digital Development in The ReMiND Project in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, India since 2011.
