HIMSS WA is offering scholarships to help educate the next generation of healthcare professionals.in science, technology, business and public policy.

Candidate Profile:              Students who see healthcare information technology playing a meaningful role in their current or future career.

Typical degrees may include healthcare administration, public health, healthcare management, public policy, health informatics, patient-centered technologies, computer science/information systems and engineering.

Requirements:                    Student must:

-       Be enrolled in a Washington State institute of higher education with focus on healthcare science, technology and public policy. Students can be full or part-time in an accredited Undergraduate (junior or senior level), Masters or PhD program

-       Complete on-line application

-       Be an active HIMSS WA member.

Scholarship Amount:        8 scholarships, $1,500 each

Application Period:            April 1 – May 1, 2013

Deadline:                              May 1, 2013

Award Date:                         Late May 2013
