Here is a list that I put together a couple of years ago for my PMP course (where  I assigned book reviews).

I thought the book by Paul Collier was particualrly good.  If I were to update the list,  one book I would add is Wisdom of Whores by Elizabeth Pisani.

 

Pairing a book by Easterly with a book by Sachs is fun.

    A peer of mine in the business school is looking for good development/global health books for a seminar/course for MBAs that's being offered in the winter. Given that the audience may or may not have a background in the field, are there particular overview/introductory texts that Change folks would recommend?

    A few that have come up so far:
    Common Wealth - Sachs
    End of Poverty - Sachs
    Dead Aid - Moyo
    White Man's Burden - Easterly
    The Blue Sweater - Novogratz

    I'm not sure if students outside of the business school can enroll/attend, but if anyone's interested I can definitely check.
