Interdisciplinary research group seeks a masters-level computer science (CS) student or advanced CS undergraduate for summer employment! Write custom software for an innovative digital pen hardware platform, advance existing handwriting recognition algorithms, and impact healthcare delivery in developing countries. Paid full-time summer position at the University of Colorado Boulder (but telecommuting may be considered for the right candidate); must have Java programming skills and familiarity using Eclipse IDE; knowledge of Perl and HTTP scripting preferable. Applicants with a deep understanding of printing specifications and printer software/firmware are also strongly encouraged to apply. Longer term employment possible for highly-qualified individuals.
