Mostly just for grins, but I thought of the discussion about having an 'app for that' on a smart phone when I saw this vital signs mod for an Android.

As you can see from the photo it is NOT remote sensing or computer vision, but it's a start.

And then there's the one I actually have on my phone and you can download for free: The heart rate app
In this case no new hardware is required.

This simulates the standard finger pincher with a bright light by using the phone's camera and light. It's nice creative use of available hardware if you ask me.
