I’m attending the conference, Collaborations for Cause (http://www.blueearth.org/conference/2014/index.cfm) on Friday, 9/26-Saturday, 9/27 of this week in Seattle at the Impact
Hub. The conference is all about digital storytelling, creating compelling and innovative content based on research and science, and engaging folks about complex and overlooked issues. Some of the presenters include National Geographic photographers, documentary
film-makers, social media experts, and online community managers from a wide variety of organizations.
I just found out from one of the organizers that they need volunteers for the conference (which I think would get you in to the conference for FREE
J). Check out the website and if you’re interested in volunteering, email
Sara Finkelstein at
sara_f@mindspring.com.
If you can’t volunteer but are available, I encourage you to attend – students get a discounted rate.
And while I’m always happy to answer questions if I can, I have nothing to do with the conference besides attending, so please direct any questions to
sara_f@mindspring.com.
Cheers, and maybe I’ll see you there!
